One Word: Hearts

Truth be told, I’ve never been a big fan of hearts as a shape. Well, I suppose I thought they were pretty cool back in middle school (especially with some crush’s initials curled inside the lines), but that’s a given. That said, they’ve taken on a new meaning for me as of late – More graphic than cutesy, and more modern than archaic. The thing that, excuse the pun, recently changed my mind and stole my heart was sweaters sporting the shape in bold scale and color. Me (can’t help but) likey. So here’s to Valentine’s Day 2013 and embracing this quirky little shape as part of our lives for the long haul.
