This Week’s 2-Day To-Do: Put Your Bar Cart To Use!

Mid-century Bar Cart | dreamgreendiy.com

Our bar cart just so happens to be one of the most-asked-about items in our personal home inventory, but alas I have to break hearts and tell everyone that it was a lucky one-of-a-kind consignment store score. The good news though is that a few brands (hello, Target) are mass-producing majorly tempting contenders, and even I have considered splurging on one of the new glass, brass, or rattan beauties I’ve seen. Of course, that said, our $50 secondhand score lives on as the only bar cart in our household.

The honest truth though is that it often goes unused. It’s the perfect spot to show off my treasured mid-century glassware and a few colorful bottles of spirits, but I rarely actually pour myself a cocktail from the cart. So, this weekend I’m challenging both of us to actually put this festive surface to good use.

Choose a pretty glass from your collection, lift up a bottle of something delicious, and mix together a tasty, flavorful drink. A few go-to cocktails that I’ve been dying to try: Salted Watermelon SlushA Sparkling Rose-Infused Cocktail, and this Italian Paloma Cocktail Recipe, all from Glitter Guide. Cheers!

P.S. Have you entered the $300 Photos.com art giveaway? Details this way. And I’m also curious to know if you guys want to keep going with this 2-day to-do challenge or if you’d like the 7-link roundup to come back each Friday—leave your vote in the comments. I’ll let you guys decide!
