Welcome to DGD Pottery, a hand-held physical facet of the Dream Green DIY brand. I'm Carrie Waller, a lifestyle blogger and ceramicist living and working in Waynesboro, Virginia. My background is in studio art and art history, a passion that has since translated into a career centered around both applied and fine art.
Creativity has been a core value in my life since I was a child. I studied studio art and art history in college, and went on to launch a design-focused blog, Dream Green DIY, in 2011. In 2018, I stretched that creativity into a newfound passion for pottery.
My art features a range of delicately thrown ceramics that blend modern ideas with classic forms and incorporate nature-inspired motifs. Within my body of work you'll find hand-painted florals, organic ruffled edges, and curvy silhouettes, all created to add moments of whimsy to my collectors' daily routines. Pastel colors were intentionally chosen to give the work a poppy tone that feels both youthful and energizing.
