House Tour

Welcome to our home! I am so excited to have you stop by for a virtual tour. If you haven’t already gathered from my daily posts (and an extra special “Welcome” to you if you are new to the blog) we live in a townhouse, so there are about fifty other homes that look just like it in the neighborhood. But with a little love and a lot of one-of-a-kind pieces, we are slowly transforming our home into something distinctly unique. Enjoy.

Barbara Toynes - I loved the tour of your home it is beautiful. I really liked how you have the living room set up with the seating area at an angle, this really works well in the room. I also especially liked the yellow floral or print chair in the living room, do you know where you got it from?ReplyCancel

clong - Love the living room furniture arrangement; great reminder that you can actually gain space by pulling furniture away from the walls. Going to get the felt sliders out tonight after work and see if I can set my living room up in a similar fashion. Would not have occurred to me without seeing your lovely photo.ReplyCancel

    Kate Meshkinfam - Hi Carrie,
I picked up a copy of the Burg newspaper today, and saw your article…which lead me to your blog. You have a great sense of style! We just moved here to Lynchburg from Michigan and are just settling in to our new house. I have a design problem that I could use some help with.
Our living room has these huge built in bookcases on both sides of the fireplace. They’re great, but I have NO idea how to style them so they look nice. I’ve googled it, looked at endless pictures, and tried to follow tips but I just can’t seem to get them so that I like the way they look. I’ve already tried to alternate depths, heights, and shapes. Do you have any other tips that might help me?
    Thanks so much!

I adore your style! I have been wanting to purchase chairs similar to your white molded side chairs, but wonder how comfortable they are. Do you recommend them for more than cuteness? :) ReplyCancel

dreamgreendiy@gmail.com - Thank you for stopping by!! I appreciate the comment :) We love the chairs – I wouldn’t watch a two hour movie in them, but they’re perfect for conversing with friends. Hope that helps!ReplyCancel

Brandi - perfect! Thank you for responding. I mostly would have them for style, but wouldn’t want to need them for extra seating and have guests hate me. ha ha.ReplyCancel
