I’m an Everygirl!!!

Today is the highly-anticipated day that I FINALLY reveal what that secret late-June photoshoot was all about…If you haven’t already seen it peppered throughout my social media (with one too many exclamation points to illustrate my insane excitement), our home was featured on The Everygirl this morning.

For those of you unfamiliar with The Everygirl, where have you been?? Just kidding, but seriously, you must introduce yourself to this fabulous, resource-PACKED, witty, colorful website. I don’t mind bragging on them one bit when I tell you that they recently were named one of the Top Ten Sites for Millenial Women AND Top 100 Sites for Women 2012. They deserve these accolades and more.

Now to get a little sappy…Ever since learning about the soon-to-be-launch of The Everygirl via Alaina Kaczmarski‘s blog Live Creating Yourself last year, I immediately hopped on the bandwagon of women waiting for February with bated breath. The promise of a website for creative women with big dreams and an equal amount of drive was too tempting to ignore. I’ll let their manifesto do the talking:

The Everygirl Manifesto:
Whether she is searching for her dream job or a new city to call home;
is saving up for a down payment or a trip to Europe;
is learning to cook or speak another language,
she wants a little guidance. She wants to be inspired.

She is The Everygirl.

This is for her.

When the site finally went live, I think I can speak for everyone when I say we weren’t disappointed. Colorful graphics, unique layout design and features that seemed to read my mind in terms of both need and desire. Yes PLEASE I’d like to tour Abby Larson‘s studio and the home of Taylor Sterling. Of COURSE I’d love to learn lovely, affordable ways to style my coffee table and throw a backyard dinner party. Toss exclusive job postings, financial advice, budget finds and a stellar book club (plus so much more) on top of this already-sparkly pile of goodness, and you’ve got a lifer fan in this blogger/wannabe-entrepreneur.

These next words don’t really come close to how I feel this morning, but I am beyond honored to have our home grace The Everygirl today (along with stunning photos taken by our sassy, talented family friend Mallory Benedict).   Thank you SO much, Alaina and Danielle, for giving me this shot (and thanks to Caitlin and Mary for all of their work and help too!). You’ve just made this Everygirl’s year…
