I am a little dumbfounded that I have yet to do a “One Word” feature on gold and brass goodies. It’s absolutely my favorite go-to finish for accessories in our home, even though I’m well aware that it’s not everybody’s jam. Way back when, you wouldn’t catch me TOUCHING gold (I was a wee bit obsessed with silver), but now I can’t get enough. It’s so much warmer than silver, and is one of the few accessories I can add to a space that gives off sparkle AND color. Sure, there’s definitely a right and wrong way to use gold – But the projects and products linked to today are a-okay (and pretty darn fabulous) in my book.

Im so glad you posted this one word gold. I’m all about pewter, brushed nickel, etc, but these “gold posts” are gorgeous. Thanks for opening my creative eyes.
You’re so welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it =)
Reblogged this on Hello beautiful..
Thanks for sharing!
🙂 Great blog!
Thanks!!
I was totally obsessed with Silver too, but now am loving the gold trend both around the home and in fashion!
That’s awesome!! 🙂
I recently painted some terracotta pots gold (the mini ones) and they looked really cool! Gave a nice warm fall look (they are part of a favor for a surprise bday party). I’m debating painter bigger ones. The color of the pots gives a nice under tone and mutes the gold some. I think I used just regular ceramics paint. Cheape way to get the look!
Sounds SO cute!! I definitely think you should do some for yourself 🙂
Love it!! I looove spray painting things gold but haven’t been as creative as some of those bloggers! I’d love to add some shine and sparkle to our new house, in the living room and bedroom… inspired!!
I’m a little obsessed with gold spray paint for sure =) Let us know if you try it out!
