And just like that, it’s officially fall and time for a brand new collection of handmade ceramics to go live in my DGD Pottery Etsy shop! Click here to take a look at the entire lineup of pieces if you just can’t wait, but I thought I’d share a few more details about the launch in today’s blog post for those of you who want more of the full story.
This year had felt really special for me when it comes to my pottery business. I don’t think I’m alone in saying that COVID broke me a little bit. I felt like I was just hitting my stride building a career for myself at our local community ceramics studio, but then the world shut down because of the pandemic, and my progress was stopped in its tracks. It has taken far too long for me to bounce back from that physical and mental interruption, but I finally feel myself ramping up. I’m ready to make pottery a major part of my business and brand moving forward—possibly my main focus as the years progress.
Thanks to this newfound burst of motivation, I’ve been much more active at our community studio and, as you saw, I also made the investment to put in a home pottery studio here in our retro ranch. Having my throwing wheel downstairs has meant that I’ve been able to throw, trim, draw on, and finesse clay at nearly all hours of the day, and I’ve taken full advantage of that. This is my seventh year as a working ceramicist, but I think this single 2025 year has allowed me to experience more growth than ever before.
All that to say that this latest fall drop in my online pottery shop feels the most like “me.” I can finally see myself in these pieces. The hand-drawn floral motifs, tapered silhouettes, and colors excite me immensely, and I hope that you love them, too. Shop the full collection (both what’s left of the summer drop, and this fall’s pieces) here in the DGD Pottery Etsy shop, and, as always, feel free to leave your comments, requests, and suggestions in the comments of today’s blog post if you have them so that I can continue to evolve the selection that I make available. I am planning on releasing a few more pieces later this year in a special “Holiday Drop,” like matcha bowls, spoon rests, and more, so keep an eye out for those updates later on in the season.
Pssst…Don’t forget that all pottery purchases come with my free 16-page digital “Ceramics Styling Guide” including 20+ ways to arrange, organize, and just generally make the most of your handmade pottery collection.
