Cozy Fall Accents Shopping Guide Mood Board

Did you hear? Last month I started a new feature where I plan to share all of the monthly mood board roundups that I’ve been posting over on my LTK account. I didn’t want anyone to miss out on this free creative content in case you’re not following along on LTK or Instagram, so I’ll be posting a roundup here on the blog at the end of each month to help inspire your home décor brainstorming. Don’t forget to click all the way through to view the mood board roundups on LTK (individual links are included in the paragraph explanations below) to see all 16 pieces in each collection since I couldn’t fit everything into each mood board graphic.

Cozy Fall Accents:

Oh, how I love the collection of cozy fall accents that you see above! The weather here in Virginia can’t seem to make up its mind if it’s in fall mode or still luxuriating in summer, but I’m mentally deep into autumn at this point. I’ve already decorated our porch for the new season, and am currently making my way through our living room and sunroom with all things pumpkin, plaid, and knit. Shop my current favorite fall décor here, including that beautiful marble pumpkin, earthy pillow cover, and faux florals.

Football-Watching Lounge Shopping Guide Mood Board

Football-Watching Lounge:

In case you didn’t know, I’m a huge football fan, and have dreams of someday having a house big enough that can fit a basement football-watching lounge. This roundup is full of all the things I’d style in such a space, from cozy pillows, an easy-to-clean rug, plush leather seating that you can really sink into, and a floor lamp that doubles as game-day tabletop drink space. Of course, I also had to include our favorite Frame TV for crystal clear sports-viewing opportunities! Click here to see all 16 pieces included in the collection.

Relaxing Home Office Shopping Guide Mood Board

Relaxing Home Office:

I’m currently in planning mode for another home office makeover (this time including paint and wallpaper for a more dramatic before/after!) so I threw together this relaxing home office roundup to jump-start my ideation. I often go very organically into these mood boarding projects, by the way. I start mentally with a theme, then choose a first piece, and I pull coordinating items from my favorite online brands after that. This home office mood board turned out a little more coral than I was expecting, but I love the luxurious, feminine vibes. Those side chairs, velvet curtains, and that lovely flat printed rug are particular favorites of mine from this imaginary space. What’s your favorite item?

Autumnal Mantel Styling Shopping Guide Mood Board

Autumnal Mantel Styling:

Another upcoming home project that I have on my list is playing around with our autumnal mantel styling. I tend to prefer subtle seasonal décor in our home, opting for just a few “themed” accents and then choosing pieces from there that softly nod to the season or holiday without being too overt. Take this mantel décor roundup as an example. I did include a couple of quintessential fall pieces, like faux pumpkins, fall art prints, and branches, but the rest of the collection is rounded out by items that feature seasonal colors and shapes without being too “on the nose,” if that makes sense. How about you? Do you like going all out with fall décor, or are you into this concept of subtly?

If you have a specific room or type of spot in your home that you’d like to see me mood board next, please let me know because many of these designs above were put together specifically from follower requests!

Evapolar Mini Personal Air Cooler Review

Evapolar Mini Portable Air Cooler Review

*Today’s post was made possible by Evapolar, and features gifted product for the purposes of a candid review. All opinions are my own.

Everybody seems to be fully channeling fall right now (and I’m definitely including myself in that statement), but our house is still firmly in summer mode. It’s hot in our little retro brick ranch, especially in the sunroom where we have 11 window’s worth of sunshine to deal with on clear days. We’ve mentioned the hot feeling inside our home to air conditioner pros, and have been told that that’s just one of the caveats of living in an old brick home that soaks up the sun and has less-than-modern insulation. Our AC does a great job of offsetting the heat during the warmer months of the year, but I’ve always wondered if there was a way for us to feel a just little more comfortable and cool.

Enter: our new personal air cooler! Did you even know that a personal air cooler was a thing? I certainly didn’t until I was approached by Evapolar to test one of theirs out. It was like fate took over in this instance, and led us straight to the solution for these still-sweltering days of early fall. To be clear, our new evaLIGHT Plus isn’t an air conditioner. Instead it’s a handy tabletop cooling box that blows the most deliciously chilled air wherever you happen to need it—at your desk, by your bed at night, or even in your own 11-windowed sunroom.

The readout numbers you see in the photo above show the actual temperature of the room (top number), and the temperature of the air coming from our evaLIGHT plus below. It cools, purifies, and humidifies the air, plus we can adapt the device lighting depending on our mood—or even to match the TV show we’re watching in the sunroom after dark, which is often when we need a personal cooler most this time of year. You can see the color-changing function demonstrated a few photos above. There are tons of fun colors to choose from, and no matter what we pick, the color always complements the “Crystal White” device that we chose. This tabletop cooler is super easy to use, too. Just fill with water, connect to power, and press the start button.

Which room in your home could use a personal air cooler? Since it’s portable, I see myself moving ours to my office on especially hot days this fall. I know we’re still due for plenty more of those, but now I don’t have to stress about them. Use my code “CARRIE30” to score 30% off your own personal air cooler from Evapolar when you click here!
