Okay, even I’m a bit miffed at myself for posting something about the holidays in September! I have a fairly good reason for getting so far ahead of myself, though. You see, it all started when I got last-minute word late last week about a new styled photography job offer that comes with a holiday theme.

First, of course, I felt a big wave of gratitude for booking a new partnership (hello, entrepreneurialism), but then the panic settled in. After looking at the specifics in the contract, I found out that I essentially need to deck our halls for the holidays this week. Yup, you read that right. I’ll be hanging garlands, setting out reindeer, and flipping the switch on miles of twinkle lights this time tomorrow while it’s in the 80s outside.

I obviously love my job (like “love” love it), but it can definitely feel a little funny at times. This is one of those times. That said, I’m thrilled to have the excuse to jump the gun and think “Christmas” a full three months and 23 days before it actually happens.
