Weekend Inspiration: No.97

Leaning art décor ideas

Happy Friday! What did you cross off your list this week? Any fun home projects? Maybe you managed to meet a big deadline at work? I spent a large portion of my week doing styling and photography for a sponsored post I have coming up. I can’t wait to share the product with you guys because it has been such a treat to have in our home. And the cool thing is that it costs less than $15, so if you feel like trying it for yourself, it won’t be too much of a strain on your “pandemic” budget.

Another thing I’ve been working on this week is a major art rearrange throughout our house. I’ve added a couple of new pieces to our collection, but have mostly worked with what we already have. It has been kind of thrilling to walk through rooms of our house and be greeted by different art.

So, I’m dedicating today’s weekend link roundup to art in general! Keep scrolling to see the pieces currently on my wish list and the ones I recently added to our home, plus you’ll get to snag an exclusive coupon code to Opposite Wall in case you want to add a new piece or two to your own home.

Weekend Inspiration: No.97

1. I find art process videos super soothing, so this one by Lucy Akins, of Craftberry Bush, about how to paint a sunset over water using watercolors made me feel so inspired and relaxed. Have you picked up your paintbrush since the quarantine started?

2. If you consider yourself an art novice looking for a slightly easier type of tutorial, check out this DIY black and white abstract art piece I literally threw together. I promise anybody can do it!

3. While I still find gallery walls so much fun, I can’t get over my love for a single large scale print in a space. This painterly landscape is currently on my wish list. I feel like there are tons of small details in this piece that we could appreciate more in that big 54×40″ framed size.

4. Vintage portraits are, by far, my favorite type of art to collect. This one is sitting in my favorites folder over on Etsy, just waiting for the moment when I can splurge.

5. Have you tried using an art ledge to prop your prints on the wall rather than hanging them? I couldn’t recommend this method more! It helps save our walls from unnecessary nail holes.

6. Now it’s time for that exclusive coupon I mentioned! You can use the code “DREAMGREEN25” here at Opposite Wall to enjoy 25% off all products now through May 7th. We just added three of their prints to our living room (as seen in the photos of today’s post), and I couldn’t love them more. We chose “Rust Swirls,” “Claire,” and “Cottage.” Which ones would you choose for your home? See the options this way!
