Walmart Home Finds You'll Truly Love

Because of my work with Better Homes and Gardens this year, I’ve had the chance to try out a whole bunch of cool home accents from their line at Walmart. I’m continually impressed with just about everything I’ve used from the collection, so I thought it was time that I share my top picks with you. If you’re on a fairly tight décor budget (like I am), but also love high end design looks (also like me!), then this roundup of Walmart home finds is for you.

Walmart Décor You’ll Truly Love:

1. Outdoor Rocking Chair Set: We put this set on our front porch, and absolutely love it. The chairs are enormous! My dog and I can both fit together on one chair, and we put that setup to the test pretty often on sunny afternoons—with a good book to round things out. I love the soft blue color of the fabric, too. It pops nicely against our red brick home.

2. Touch-Activated Table Lamp: This lamp rocks. It’s probably my favorite new (as opposed to vintage) lamp that I’ve ever set up in our house. I love the mid-century style look, but the touch-activated base has to be the best part. We keep it in our entryway so we can tap it to life when we walk through the front door. It’s so easy to do, even with arms laden down with shopping bags.

3. Woven Tray: I’m a firm believer in the immense power of trays to make a cluttered surface look suddenly organized. Use this one on a coffee table, as a centerpiece on your dining table (it works for outdoor dining, too), or to corral perfumes and a candle on your dresser.

4. Indoor/Outdoor Steel Console: I wrote a whole post last month on three totally unique ways to style this steel console if you want inspiration. Find that info (with tons of photos) here.

5. Super Soft Area Rug: I swear this is the softest rug we’ve ever had in our home, and that’s saying something when you consider how many rugs we’ve experimented with in the past. We laid the runner version down in our hallway, and I relish the moments when I get to walk across it.

6. Ceramic Serving Bowl: This ceramic bowl looks so handmade, it’s crazy! I gifted it to my mom and she uses it as a fruit bowl, but it would also work well for serving salad or pasta. There’s just something so organic and lovely about the loopy design around the rim.

7. Framed Art Canvas: I am very, very picky when it comes to art, and I love this print. It looks very high end, and I really appreciate the unique dark frame. You see white frames and light wood frames all the time, but dark ones aren’t quite as prevalent, so it feels very special. Note that this is a dark stained wood frame—it’s not black.

8. Ceiling Fan With Reversible Blades: We have this fan in practically every room in our house. They’re easy to install, and I appreciate that the blades are reversible in case we ever feel like changing up the look. They work great, too—very quiet, and they keep us comfortably cool on hot days.

9. Gardening Pot Set: My indoor plants look so happy in their new ceramic planters. These pots are such a great price, too. I hope they don’t sell out before you can get your hands on them.

10. Wood And Marble Side Table: I’ve definitely contemplated ordering multiples of this table. Again, it looks expensive, but is very affordable. I appreciate the heavy weight of it so I know my cat can’t knock it over while jumping from surface to surface.

11. Modern Ceiling Light Fixture: We installed this light in our hallway a little while ago, and are more than happy with it. The mod shape is perfect for our 1960s home. I think I might install a second one in our kitchen makeover (reveal coming later this month).

12. Textured Sculptural Pot: I can’t believe this trendy, cool planter pot is from Walmart! And the price is unbeatable.

Which pieces caught your eye from that list? If you told me I could only pick one favorite thing, it would have to be that table lamp. Or maybe the ceiling fan…I don’t know! It’s so hard to choose because I genuinely would rebuy anything and everything on this list. Let me know in the comments if there are specific accent roundups that you’d like to see here on the blog (doesn’t have to be Walmart-themed), and I’ll make sure to get it scheduled in my editorial calendar.
