Dark Bedding For Fall & Winter

Dark Bedding For Fall & Winter

Something weird has started happening in my brain where home décor is concerned…I’m suddenly craving color! If you’ve been following along for any length of time, you probably noticed that I’m firmly in the camp of “white is better” in terms of paint colors, and I’m a big, big fan of all-white bedding, too. Well, for whatever reason, I’ve been pondering the idea of going darker and more colorful on both the walls and our linens (in small doses, of course—I haven’t gone THAT crazy).

The thought of breaking out the paint brushes and drop cloths again after painting all 10 rooms in our house bright white, though, sounds like a nightmare. Instead, I’m thinking it might be time to invest in new dark bedding to satisfy my lust for color. The good news is that now’s the perfect time to go richer with our décor palette in honor of fall and winter. Scroll on to see the 12 pieces and sets I’m considering for our master bedroom and guest room.

Dark Bedding For Fall & Winter

1. Dark Blue Elliot Plaid Comforter Set

2. Leela Velvet Flower Throw Pillow

3. Mira Linen Throw

4. Microfiber Duvet Cover Set

5. Tufted Geo Duvet Cover

6. Jersey Rope Throw

7. Gemma Fringed Round Throw Pillow

8. Shimmer Velvet Duvet Cover

9. Quilt in ‘Indigo’

10. Plaid Washable Wool Throw

11. Matelasse Shams

12. Horizon Lines Quilt

Before I go, I wanted to point out that a lot of those items above can be used to add a sort of seasonal richness to other areas of your house than just the bedroom. The pillows and throw blankets I mentioned could be scattered throughout your living space to cozy up your upholstered furniture, or even in an office to infuse a bit of warmth for the colder days to come. What’s your favorite piece in the lineup? I’m seriously considering the Quilt in ‘Indigo’ for our guest room and the Plaid Washable Wool Throw for our family room.
